This was only my second show, with Canandaigua being my first, just getting into gas engines this year. On a Friday afternoon, September 8, 1995, we went to Alexander, NY for the Western New York Gas & Steam Engine 29th Annual Rally. It ran from the 7th to the 10th, but I had to stay at work until the weekend. Suffice it to say, that it was GREAT anyway - you name it, it was there. There were loads of fine engines and tractors to see and I was surprised that I hadn't heard of it before. I pick up a copy of the Steam and Gas Show Directory every year now. Location: Gillate Road, Alexander, NY 8 miles South of Batavia, 1 mile West of Alexander, 1 mile North of US Route 20.
